Katapult Wednesdays – Films from 2009

I made the concious effort of keeping the cinema entrance ticket to most of the films I saw in 2009 as part of Katapult Wednesday; one reason for this is because I have an awful memory when it comes to films. Those people who can quote film lines, impress me. I am therefore easily impressed! I often find myself realising towards the end of a film that I have indeed seen it before, so in an attempt to cement them in my mind I wondered if the technique of keeping the tabs would help me associate a memory and in turn the film. This may also help me determine if I forget a film due to it being not so hot and looking back I can say I do remember 85% of the films shown above and they were indeed good films, my top five being:

1. Let the Right One in

2. Broken Embraces

3. Synecdoche, New York

4. Looking for Eric

5. Gran Torino

I also remember a number that I didn’t keep the tabs of, including my number 1.  The couple I am a little vague on, well I will have to assume they just didn’t make a mark with me, but I think 85% of good films makes the regular Wednesday trip well worth it and one which is set to continue in 2010. That’s not even mentioning the good company we enjoyed before and after them.
